In the first few lines of the most current chapter, we find that Jiwoo worries about Kartein and seeks Nitrate’s reassurance that everything will be well. He tells Kartein that he is stronger than he gives himself credit for and that Kartein is more well-known for his healing abilities than his fighting prowess.
In addition, he says that Yoo Jiyoung also went, so you shouldn’t be too concerned. The baddies have successfully trapped Tanji, and the action now returns to the climactic battle. Kartein continues his thought process by saying that attacking them would have been unbearably terrible under normal conditions, but that they are weak and exposed due of their wounds.
Also, after meeting Earthquake, he claims he has an inkling as to why Kayden fights the way he does. It’s frustrating that he’s started talking like Kayden and adopting some of his combat methods. On top of that, he says he has no faith that his fighting technique has tainted him. Tanji yells at him, asking whether he plans to confront the coward. They went to great lengths to find him, he says in response, so they shouldn’t have any higher expectations; anyhow, it was her fault that she got sidetracked in the first place.
Tanji, seen above muttering to herself, explains that all she wanted to do was grab Kartein and leave, but there are now too many unknowns. The woman with him denies feeling weaker than her and says as much, but adds that she is not willing to confess it.
In addition, she argues that it would be faster for Muras to just take down Kartein than for him to talk down that girl and join forces with Muras. She then yells at Muras, telling him to kill Kartein and return to aid her before they depart destroying everyone.
