The fandom is thrilled about Dragon Ball Super Chapter 104. Nevertheless, get ready for, due to the sudden death of manga artist Akira Toriyama, the series will be taking a break of at least one month. Readers will have to patiently wait until May for the next edition of V-Jump, as Issue #6 2024 will not contain a chapter.

Gohan goes on the defensive as he struggles to land any punches against Goku’s True Ultra Instinct form, which gradually gives Goku the upper hand. Goku notices his son’s “intense latent potential,” but Vegeta sees through Goku’s superior training and expertise and concludes that Goku probably still has the upper hand.
Thankfully, Gohan admits that he has been holding back his entire strength, so this fight isn’t as black and white. Just by ramping up his Beast Mode change, he manages to wreak enough havoc to even earn Beerus’ admiration and attention.
Thanks to Chapter 103, “A Legacy Toward the Future,” we now get some answers about Gohan’s Beast Mode, which has been a mystery up until now. Gohan goes into further detail about Beast Mode, explaining how he uses this power-up to raise his ki to an almost explosive but controlled level.
Additionally, Whis explains that unlike Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego, Gohan Beast is not a Super Saiyan stage or a heavenly metamorphosis. Beast, a “singular talent” exclusively associated with Gohan, amplifies the Saiyan’s development and power.
