Major changes have been made to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. One such change is the weakening of the Longbow a powerful sniper weapon. For some time now players have been unhappy with the weapon’s strength. The update also changed the BAS-B gun’s special kit, it’s not as powerful now but it can shoot more quickly these adjustments are meant to level the playing field for all players.

Since these upgrades have an impact on how the game is played a lot of discussion has centred around them, let’s explore the specific changes and what they mean for players.

COD Addressing Player Feedback In The New Update

The developers made changes in the update released on March 22 in response to player comments. The unfair advantage of the Longbow has been reduced by its aim assist qualities matching with those of other sniper rifles. To balance its effectiveness in combat conditions the update also adds increased incoming and target flinch for the longbow.

In Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone the JAK Outlaw-277 kit of the BAS-B also experiences major changes. The kit’s upper torso damage has been decreased in Modern Warfare 3 however the fire rate has increased in together.

This change tries to keep it useful while reducing its death rates especially for players who prefer a more aggressive style of play. Warzone meanwhile, sees the BAS-B kit’s fire rate increased improving its efficiency without sacrificing damage output.

Additional Updates and Bug Fixes

The update fixes a number of bugs and issues in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone in along with weapon adjustments. The overall stability of the game has been improved with the major release of updates for the Modern Warfare 3 Winner’s Perks challenge and the Warzone Irradiated perk.

Since its release in November of last year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Longbow sniper weapon has been the focus of a lot of controversy. Users have always complained about how it performs especially with regard to the aim assist mechanics.

The Longbow, like assault rifles or SMGs had standard aim help unlike traditional sniper rifles which made it extremely powerful in the hands of experienced players. There has been a rise in criticism in recent weeks with social media and websites increasing concerns about how overpowering it is.

Call of Duty introduces the Operation Day Zero event for Warzone Mobile in connection with the update giving players the chance to win exclusive prizes like the Ghost operator cosmetic. A brand-new Call of Duty bundle that includes weapon blueprints and other benefits that can be used in all three of the current Call of Duty games is also available to Amazon Prime subscribers.
