Fans of the Bungo Stray Dogs anime series have a reason to celebrate as the staff of the show announced on Wednesday that the anime will be returning with a fifth season in July. The announcement came after the fourth season of the show concluded with its final episode airing on Wednesday. The staff also revealed the first promotional video and visual for the upcoming season, which was created by character designer and chief animation director Nobuhiro Arai.
Fans can expect the same level of quality and storytelling from the returning main staff, which includes director Takuya Igarashi, series script supervisor and writer Yoji Enokido, character designer and chief animation director Nobuhiro Arai, and the animation studio BONES. The main cast members, including Yūto Uemura (Atsushi Nakajima), Mamoru Miyano (Osamu Dazai), Sumire Morohoshi (Kyōka Izumi), Kensho Ono (Ryūnosuke Akutagawa), and Kishō Taniyama (Chūya Nakahara) are also returning.
The upcoming season of Bungo Stray Dogs will have SCREEN mode performing the anime’s opening song “True Story,” while Luck Life performs the ending song “Shirushi/°C.” Fans can look forward to another great soundtrack to accompany the thrilling action and gripping storyline of the show.
