The Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge has recently started, and the BGMI community has been buzzing about it (BMOC). BMOC is the first tournament designed specifically to help underdogs and rising stars who have the potential to be future stars of the game. According to an earlier announcement made by the game’s developers, Krafton Inc., there are four official tournaments planned for the year. The prize pool for the four tournaments will be 6 crore rupees.

Furthermore, Krafton has revealed that the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge will be structured similarly to the previous official tournament BGIS and will feature The Grind.

The Grind will feature 32 teams battling it out for weeks to be crowned champions. It is intended to serve as a practise mode for renowned teams prior to the main tournament.

BMOC The Grind Schedule

Battlegrounds Mobile India esports players and fans have been anticipating the first official tournament of the 2022 season. Krafton, on the other hand, has finally released the official dates for BMOC: The Grind.

The Qualifiers for the Grind are set to begin on March 31. The Qualifiers will take place over four days, culminating on April 3. The League Stage of The Grind will take place between April 7 and April 10. The tournament’s Final Stage will take place between April 14 and April 17.

Because the Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge is following the BGIS pattern, the main tournament should begin within a week of the conclusion of the Grind. Krafton, on the other hand, has yet to make an official announcement regarding the start date of the main tournament.

BMOC The Grind Format

The Grind is divided into three distinct stages. Here’s a breakdown of the tournament’s various rounds:

Qualifiers: The Qualifiers, which will begin on March 31, will be the first stage of The Grind. The tournament’s 32 invited teams will be divided into four groups. For four days, each group will compete in a Round Robin format, with the top 24 teams advancing to the next League Stage.

League Stages: The 24 qualified teams from the Qualifiers will be divided into three groups and will compete in a four-day Round Robin format. The top 16 teams will advance to the Final Stage.

Final Stage: Qualified 16 teams will compete in 24 matches over four days, and the team with the most points at the end of the final match will be crowned BMOC: The Grind Champions.

This tournament serves as a warm-up for the teams that qualify from open qualifiers, as they can learn about the various strategies used by the official teams prior to the event. Make sure to watch The Grind on the official YouTube channel of BGMI Esports.
