Apex Legends Mobile Launch: Date, Countries, Pre-Registration, Device Requirements

Beginning next week, Apex Legends Mobile will be available in a limited beta. The game will only be available in ten countries and will be available throughout the spring. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia are among the countries on the list.

Apex Legends Mobile Features

India is conspicuously absent from the list, despite being one of the largest markets for mobile gaming. The first beta test for India and Indonesia took held in April 2021.

The limited launch will not include all features, and just a handful will be available. Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic will be available to players.

Respawn has stated that they will only be able to make informed decisions after testing the game in limited places.

Apex Legends Mobile Launch: Minimum requirements for Apex Legends Mobile

For Android devices:

  • Android 8.1
  • Open GL 3.0 or higher
  • 3 GB free space
  • At least 3 GB RAM
  • Screens size: N/L/XL

For iOS devices:

  • iPhone 6S or later
  • OS version: 10.0 or later
  • CPU: A9
  • 3 GB free space
  • At least 2GB RAM

Android phones should have at least 3GB of RAM, while iPhones should have at least 2GB. Furthermore, the device must have 3 GB of free storage and run Android 8.1/ iOS 10.0 or later.

The game will support Android devices with at least 2GB RAM from the following brands, as seen in the image above:

  • Vivo
  • Oppo
  • Huawei
  • Motorola
  • Samsung
  • Lenovo
  • Xiaomi

The mobile version of the game has the same premise as the PC/console version, with 60 players divided into 20 teams and a large number of characters to choose from. However, there will be no cross-play between the console and PC versions of the game. Apex Legends will reach 100 million users in 2021, which is a significant milestone.

The mobile shooter category is an exponentially developing market, with revenues of nearly $12 billion in the last two years. No major publisher wants to be left behind in such a large market. EA will be hoping that the mobile game has the same success as the PC edition.
