Tottenham turned their attention to Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski after failing to bring in Adama Traore and Luis Diaz. The Premier League club are in talks to sign the winger on loan, no agreement has been reached yet and there is no decision if an option to buy will be included in any deal. Spurs boss Antonio Conte is desperate to bolster his attack and he has turned his eye towards the Sweden international after Traore decided to join Barcelona and Liverpool entered the race to get the services of Diaz.

The 21-year-old has made 27 appearances for Juventus in all competitions this season, but has started only seven of those and has scored just twice. Kulusevski joined Juventus from Atalanta in January 2020 in a deal worth GBP 37 million and his contract expires in the summer of 2025.

The winger can play at both the flanks and also as a central attacking midfielder. He came through the Atalanta academy set-up after moving to Italy as a 16-year-old and later rose to limelight during his two loan spells with Parma, once from Atalanta and again after Paratici took him to Juventus in 2019.

He scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 39 games for Parma and added another seven goals and seven assists in his first campaign for Juve last year. Conte was interested in signing the youngster when he was with Inter Milan. If the move to Spurs happens, he could play alongside Harry Kane and his versatility in attack could be a handful for Spurs.

Traore chose to join Barcelona

The Wolves forward wasn’t convinced by Tottenham’s offer to use him in a variety of positions. Barcelona have offered a loan move with an option to make the deal permanent and Traore is hoping to return to his boy-hood club. The 26-year-old is currently in  Spain to undergo medicals.

Traore made it clear he would not be extending his contract with the Midlands club beyond the end of the season and so they wished to see him move on at this point. The former Aston Villa player played 63 appearances for Barcelona B and only featured on four occasions for their first-team side.
