Veteran India spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, who was born on 23rd July 1990, has played for India in cricket and he was a chess player too. He plays for Haryana in domestic cricket whereas he is currently playing for the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the Indian Premier League. He represents India in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) so far and has also represented India internationally in chess too as well. However, he was the second player and first Indian to take a 6 wicket haul in the history of the T20I tournament. Chahal was the first concussion substitute to be named man of the match in an international cricket match as well.
Chahal was first bought by Mumbai Indians in 2011 where he played only 1 IPL game across three-season. At the 2014 IPL players auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for his base price of ₹ 10 lakh. In January 2018, he was again bought back by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 IPL auction as well. But, ahead of the 2022 IPL season, RCB released him and Rajasthan Royals bought him in the Mega auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament. On 18 April 2022, against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he picked up a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul as well.
