During the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired some key players. They broke the bank for Sri Lanka offspinner Wanindu Hasaranga, who went for over Rs 10 crore. But, the decision to release their star spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal raised some eyebrows.

But, they have acquired the services of Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, and Jason Behrendorff which might shore up their bowling efforts. In the batting, Glenn Maxwell might step up to the void left by AB de Villiers. Kohli is a bonafide great and he will be the key to RCB’s success, having been relieved of captaincy. Faf du Plessis might step up as the captain while Dinesh Karthik will be the key behind the wickets.
