Ollie Pope is a professional English cricketer. He plays the role of a right-handed middle-order batter and a wicketkeeper representing the national team in all the formats. Pope was born on 2nd January 1998, he hails from Middlesex and started his cricketing journey with Guildford and Cranleigh Cricket Clubs, before grabbing a two-year professional contract with Surrey in 2016. He made his List-A debut during the Royal London Cup that season. The 2017-18 season saw Pope improve his game across all formats. Ollie has a solid batting technique made him a force to reckon in the Championship, he was Surrey most impressive batter and also was excellent in the field. His success in the domestic circles was rewarded with a Test call-up in the home series against India in 2018.

Post the pandemic 2020-21, Pope played crucial knocks in the series against West Indies, Pakistan, and India. He is cemented his spot in the England setup and is a force to reckon win in future. In 2021, the keeper-batsman was picked by Welsh Fire for the inaugural edition of the Hundred and did fairly well for his team. Unfortunately, Pope went unsold at the Indian Premier League auction.
