Tristan Stubbs is a professional South African cricketer. He plays the role of an attacking right-hand batter and represents the national team in the T20 format. Stubbs was born on the 14th of August in 2000, he started playing cricket at a young age. Apart from the hard-hitting that he is known for, Stubbs can also play the role of a wicket-keeper and in the past few months has worked on his off-spin bowling as well. Tristan Stubbs featured for the first time in the domestic circuit for Eastern Province in the 2019–20 edition of CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup. Later that year, Stubbs made his List-A debut in CSA Provincial One Day Challenge.

In the 2021 edition of the CSA T20 Challenge, Tristan Stubbs made his T20 debut for the Warriors against the Dolphins, he had a fantastic season, in the List A and T20 format for the Warriors and made a lot of people take notice of his abilities. He smashed 293 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 183.12 and was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. His top score of 80* came in just 31 balls, with this blistering knock Stubbs announced himself. The youngster followed it up with a fine performance in the CSA Provincial One Day Challenge as well, with his explosive batting and brilliance in the field. He wasn’t far away from climbing the ranks as he forced the selectors to take notice of his abilities.

On the back of some brilliant domestic season, Stubbs earned a call-up to South Africa A side on a tour to Zimbabwe, where he made his T20 debut. In 2022, Stubbs was bagged by the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. The right-hand batter has caught the eye of many T20 franchises around the globe, he was picked up by the Manchester Originals in the 2022 edition of the Hundred. Stubbs signed a contract with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the inaugural edition of the SA20 League, he was bought by for INR 4.3 crore.
