Jason Holder is a professional West Indian cricketer. He plays the role of an all-rounder and represents West Indies in all the 3 formats. Holder was included in the West Indies U-19 squad for the 2010 World Cup. After a pay dispute with the top cricketers, the board formed a new team and gave the leadership to Holder. He was still establishing himself at the highest level so it was definitely a tough ask for him to get the reigns of Windies in a rebuilding phase.

Despite the lack of experience, Holder did a commendable job as far as leadership was concerned. He led the Windies without much success but it was understandable especially given the fact that none of the players in the team had enough experience. Holder has also led West Indies in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups but West Indies were unable to make a substantial mark in both tournaments. Holder was picked up in the 2013 IPL by the Chennai Super Kings. He didn’t get to play a single game and was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2016, he later went on to play for the Sun Risers Hyderabad and is currently a part of the Lucknow Super Giants.
