The first ODI match of the series will begin at 7:30 pm IST at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia. The two teams will come into this fixture after being on the receiving end of some thrashing in their last three matches as well. West Indies Women have only been able to register a win against New Zealand Women in their last five matches. They even hosted England Women at home and lost the series by 3-0 as well. However, their record against Ireland Women is very good and they would be trying to do the same in this series as well.
Ireland Women too had a mixed outing in their previous fixtures. While they thrashed Netherlands Women in all 3 ODI matches, when they toured Pakistan last year, they could not win and eventually lost by a heavy margin. As both teams are all set to gear up for the upcoming series, a thrilling contest can be expected as well.
