Tamil Nadu Premier League 2022 has started entertaining the fans with its sixth edition which started on June 23 (Thursday). A total of 32 T20I matches will take place during TNPL 2022 which will conclude with the final on July 31, 2022, as well. A total of 8 teams are featuring in TNPL 2022 – Chepauk Super Gillies, Nellai Royal Kings, Dindigul Dragons, Ruby Tricky Warriors, Madurai Panthers, Salem Spartans, Lyca Kovai Kings, and Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans. All these teams will play in the round-robin format during the league stage of TNPL 2022.

Hence, each team will face another team once during the league stage and they will play seven games during the league stage of the tournament as well. However, the first match has won by Nellai Royal Kings in the super over against Chepauk Super Gillies. The top 4 teams on the points table after the league stage games will qualify for the playoffs. Chepauk Super Gillies are the defending champions of TNPL 2022 as well who defeated Ruby Trichy Warriors by 8 runs in the 2021 season to lift the trophy. Meanwhile, the 7th match will be played between Nellai Royal Kings and Dindigul Dragons at NPR College Ground in Dindigul on June 30.
