The 17th match of the Women’s Hundred 2023 Competition will see the Welsh Fire Women play against the Southern Brave Women at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The Welsh Fire Women are having a great show in the tournament. They are unbeaten in the Women’s Hundred 2023 so far, having won three matches so far after their first game was abandoned due to rain. They won in a thrilling match against the Birmingham Phoenix Women in their last outing as well. Tammy Beaumont scored 59 to help her side post 137 on the board as well. The game went to the final over and Shabnim Ismail picked up a hat trick in the last set to help her side win the game by three runs. They will be looking to do well in their next match as well.
The Southern Brave Women, on the other hand, have played four games in the Women’s Hundred 2023 so far and won three of those as well. They took on the London Spirit Women in their last game and beat them convincingly too. They will be looking to carry forward the winning momentum in their next match too as well. The Brave Women bowled first and restricted the Spirit Women to a below-par total of 104/5 in a rain-affected fixture of 85 balls per side. Georgia Adams registered figures of 4/11 for them. In reply, Maia Bouchier played a quick knock of 43* to take her side to the finish line with five wickets in hand.

The pitch at Sophia Gardens helps the batters and they can enjoy their strokes freely from the beginning as well. Bowlers need to work hard to pick wickets. However, there is a heavy chance of rain predicted on Saturday in Cardiff, with the temperature expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius as well.
