The seventh game of the Women’s Hundred 2023 will see the Birmingham Phoenix play against the Trent Rockets Women at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday (August 5). Birmingham Phoenix Women did not have the best of starts as they lost to the Northern Superchargers Women in their first game. After being asked to bat first, Sophie Devine hit 46 at the top of the order but the other batters failed as they only managed to score 110 as well. The bowlers tried hard but failed to defend the score against the Superchargers Women and they lost the game by seven wickets.
The Trent Rockets Women, on the other hand, faced the Southern Brave Women in their first game of the Women’s Hundred 2023. They lost the match and will be looking to bounce back on Saturday as well. The bowlers, however, struggled a bit as the Southern Brave posted 157 on the board. Chasing it, captain Nat Sciver-Brunt tried hard and scored 49, but others failed to contribute and they lost the game by 27 runs as well.

The pitch at Edgbaston helps the bowlers where the batters will have to give time to set their eyes in the middle initially. However, bowlers will have the upper hand. Meanwhile, there is a heavy chance of rain in Birmingham and the temperatures are expected to be between 10 and 16 degrees Celsius as well.
