The Lord’s in London will host the 11th game of the Hundred 2023 between London Spirit and Southern Brave on Tuesday, August 8 as well. London Spirit took on the Oval Invincibles in their opening match of the competition. It was a nail-biting contest, where they finished on the losing side. The Spirit were slated to take on the Manchester Originals in their next game but the game was abandoned due to rain. The London Spirit bowlers did a good job of restricting the Originals to 138/5 at the end of 80 balls before rain played spoilsports. London Spirit are yet to win in the competition as well.
Southern Brave, on the other hand, are having a mixed journey so far. After losing to Trent Rockets in their first game, they bounced back and beat Welsh Fire in the second but failed to carry forward the winning momentum as they faced a heavy loss against the Northern Superchargers as well. The Brave bowlers struggled as the Superchargers posted a massive 201 on the board. In reply, Tim David top-scored with 40 off 19 balls but they could manage only 141/5 to lose the game by 60 runs. They will be hoping to do well on Tuesday.

The pitch at the Lord’s is a balanced one which gives equal assistance to both batters and bowlers. The bowlers can get good movement from the surface whereas the batters can play their strokes freely if they set their eyes in the middle for some time. Meanwhile, temperatures in London on Tuesday are likely to be between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius, with a 60% chance of rain as well.
