The final of the seventh edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 will take place between the Lyca Kovai Kings and the Nellai Royal Kings on Wednesday, July 12 at the Indian Cement Company Ground in Tirunelveli. However, the Lyca Kovai Kings directly qualified for the final after beating the Dindigul Dragons in the first qualifier. They did exceptionally well and they will be looking to repeat it again in the final.
Having been asked to bat first, the Lyca Kovai Kings put up 193/7, courtesy of B Sachin (70) and U Mukilesh (44). The bowlers then performed quite well and restricted the Dragons to 163/9 and win the game by 30 runs as well. M Mohammed picked up 3 for 26. The Nellai Royal Kings, on the other hand, beat the Siechem Madurai Panthers in the Eliminator and then beat the Dindigul Dragons in the second qualifier to reach the final against the Kovai Kings. Seeing both sides, a nail-biting thriller is expected to take place.
