Somerset will face Hampshire in the T20 Blast 2022 Semi-Final 2 at the Edgbaston, Birmingham on Saturday. Somerset will be high on confidence entering the semi-finals as they defeated Derbyshire by 191 runs in the Quarter-Final 4 of the T20 Blast 2022 on Saturday.
Somerset banked on brilliant batting performances from Tom Banton (73) and Rilee Rossouw (93) to post a massive total of 265/5 in the stipulated 20 overs after being put into bat. Alex Hughes and George Scrimshaw had picked up a couple of wickets each for Derbyshire. However, their batting order collapsed, as Derbyshire were bundled out for 74 runs with Peter Siddle and Ben Green picking up three wickets each.

Somerset finished at the second spot in the South Group with 20 points. Their fine run in the preliminary round saw them win 10 matches and lose four from their stipulated 14 games. South Africa batter Rossouw has been in top form for Somerset in the T20 Blast 2022 while Green has been their most successful bowler.
