Hampshire will face Somerset in the T20 Blast 2022 Semi-Final 2 at the Edgbaston, Birmingham on Saturday. Hampshire defeated Warwickshire by a massive 104 runs margin in the Quarter-Final 2 of the T20 Blast 2022 on Thursday to qualify for the semi-finals.Â
Hampshire banked on fine knocks from Ben McDermott (61) and Joe Weatherley (47) to post a total of 186/6 in the stipulated 20 overs after opting to bat. Warwickshire captain Carlos Brathwaite was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped four wickets. However, Warwickshire, failed miserably with the bat as they were bundled out for 82 runs with England medium-pacer James Fuller picking up four wickets. Â
Hampshire finished at the fourth place in the South Group to qualify for the knock-out stage. They registered nine wins and five losses from the stipulated 14 matches to accumulate 18 points. They are, incidentally, unbeaten in their last six matches across the tournament.Â
