The league stage of the T20 Blast 2022 has come to an end with Quarter-Finals, Semi-finals and final yet to take place. However, Surrey will play against Yorkshire in the Quarter Final 1 at Kennington Oval in London on July 6, Wednesday. While Surrey finished at the top of the points table in the South Group with 21 points after winning 10 games, Yorkshire finished fifth in the points table in the North Group after winning 7 games as well.

Surrey last played against Somerset and lost by 47 runs. Surrey could only manage 171 in reply to Somerset’s total of 219. Craig Overton returned with the noteworthy figures of 4 for 25 while Peter Siddle and Roelof van der Merwe scalped two wickets each. Meanwhile, Somerset’s massive total came on the back of Will Smeed’s 98 and Tom Abell’s 70. In reply, Jordan scored a swashbuckling 35-ball 73 but that wasn’t enough for Surrey to reach the target and they eventually lost.

On the other hand, Yorkshire faced a 60-run defeat to Leicestershire in their last game. Opener Nick Welch (46 off 23), Arron Lilley (35 off 23) and Colin Ackermann (72* off 46) contributed with the bat and helped them post a hug total. Meanwhile, lower-order batter Louis Kimber has also played a quick cameo of 11-ball 30 that included 3 fours and 2 sixes as Leicestershire put up 211/7. While Adam Lyth tried his best with 52 off 25 but it wasn’t enough to reach the target as well and they lost.

Indian viewers can live stream the T20 Blast 2022 on the Fan Code app. The ECB will again host live streams of every match on the ECB website and ECB app while Sky Sports is set to broadcast 19 matches throughout the group stage, with each county set to feature at least twice before the four quarter-finals and Finals Day. It will also be available via BBC Local Radio stations with extensive coverage also on 5 Live Sports Extra.
