Ravindra Jadeja was born on 6th December 1988. He is an Indian international cricketer and represented the country across formats. He represents Saurashtra in first-class cricket and led the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Jadeja made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on 8 February 2009 and he had scored an unbeaten 60 off 77 balls in that match also. However, his debut in the longer format came on 13th December 2012, against England at Nagpur. And CSK bought him for $2 million at the 2012 IPL Players Auction.
Later, Gujarat Lions bought him in the 2016 IPL Players Auction for ₹9.5 crores after the Chennai Super Kings were banned for two seasons as well. On 22 January 2017, he became the first Indian left-arm spinner to claim 150 One Day International wickets as well. However, Ravindra Jadeja was ranked as the No.1 bowler in ICC ODI Cricket in August 2013. With this, he became the first Indian bowler to top the rankings since the veteran Anil Kumble, who topped the table in 1996. Moreover, he is the fourth Indian bowler after Kapil Dev, Maninder Singh and Kumble to be ranked No. 1 too.
