Rahul Dravid is the epitome of calmness. On the cricket field, he handled himself with dignity and gentlemanliness. His calm demeanour and his down-to-earth attitude still makes him one of the model cricketers for the youth to follow. Dravid is also one of the greatest cricketers to have played for India. In his 16-year career, Dravid scored over 13000 Test runs at an average of 52 while in ODIs, he hit over 10,000 runs at an average of close to 40.

However, in a new advertisement that features Dravid, a new side of his personality came out. In an ad for CRED, Dravid is very angry. Yes, you read it right! Dravid was showing anger that bordered on absolute rage. In the ad, Dravid is stuck in Bangalore traffic. He is shouting at a person, throwing objects at a particular car, breaking the side-view mirror with a bat, and also shouting on top of his voice.

Bangalore is notorious for traffic snarls and this was a reflection of how ordinary people in Bangalore feel. The advertisement, though, has gone viral on social media. Many people simply could not believe Dravid could be like this.

Befuddled, hilarious reactions

Many people on social media expressed their disbelief. Others said that it was a hilarious way for the message to come through. The normal, somber Dravid now was an ordinary individual with rage. In 2021, many people have seen everything and Dravid’s anger is one of the things.

Former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh tweeted that the only time Dravid shouted was during a Ranji Trophy match. In another instance, a shot played by an Under-19 player had made Dravid nervously angry.

CRED is a credit cards payment app launched in 2018 by Kunal Shah. Past advertisements have taken a satirical dig at former Bollywood stars who have exhibited their talent to feature in the advertisement of the App.

Dravid, on the other hand, is currently the head of the NCA. He has also been mentoring the India A and Under-19 sides. Under his guidance, the Indian cricket team is producing plenty of stars that is enhancing India’s talent pool.
