After suffering defeat to Punjab Kings in their first match of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are ready to take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next match at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on April 8. However, star batter Jos Buttler is likely to miss the match after sustaining an injury to his finger in the previous game. Either Sanju Samson or Devdutt Padikkal will open with youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal as well. Meanwhile, bowling looks more or less sorted for the side but there is room for improvement too.
On the other hand, Delhi are not in good form right now and they could find it difficult to tackle Yuzvendra Chahal, who is a joint-second wicket-taker in the IPL 2023 Purple Cap race at the moment. With two back-to-back defeats in the tournament, the David Warner-led side is currently struggling with both bat and ball and things are not looking good too as well.
Meanwhile, youngster Prithvi Shaw once again failed to make a mark in the last game against the Gujarat Titans, while Mitchell Marsh has looked good so far in IPL 2023. Moreover, Axar Patel batted well towards the end but overall, they had a disappointing game too. With the ball, Anrich Nortje did well but couldn’t continue throughout. It will be interesting to see how both Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals perform in the game.
