IPL 2023: News - Chennai Super Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants, 6th Match: Who will win the match?

After beating Delhi Capitals in the last match, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will now take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 3 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On the other hand, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings also suffered a five-wicket loss at the hands of Gujarat Titans in the opening game of IPL 2023 and now they will be facing each other to get their first win of the season as well.

However, things will be a bit difficult for CSK as their bowling unit looked weak in the last match and that is one such area that the team management would like to work on. Apart from that, their middle-order batting also failed to contribute much. Rururaj Gaikwad (92 runs off 50 deliveries) gave them a perfect start but no one could capitalise in the middle overs in their last game as well. Dhoni in the end looked in great touch but others need to step up to post a formidable total as well.

On the other hand, the Lucknow batters did exceptionally well against Delhi Capitals. Opener Kyle Mayers looked great as the 30-year-old smashed 73 runs off 38 balls. Nicholas Pooran, too, looked in good form while Mark Wood picked up a five-fer in the very first game. Meanwhile, in Chennai, where the ball is expected to turn, Ravi Bishnoi will play a very important role in the squad.
