Indian Maharajas will lock horns with the World Giants in the 5th match of the LLC 2023, played in the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha, Qatar. This match is crucial to both teams as the qualification scenario is heating up in the league. The Indian Maharajas are coming off a stunning victory against the Asia Lions, where they won by ten wickets. India Maharajas won the toss, and they elected to field. The Lions had a brilliant start having an opening partnership of 73 runs. Tharanga batted fabulously and scored a brilliant fifty. Although, none of the batters who followed could carry on, and they posted a total of 157 runs for the loss of five wickets. Maharajas then came to chase the total and did not take time to make things serious. Both their openers were on fire as they chased down the score without losing any wickets and with more than seven overs to spare. India Maharajas won the match clinically by ten wickets.
World Giants, on the other hand, are here after a loss against Asia Lions in a rain-curtailed encounter. The match was reduced to 10 overs a side due to rain. The Lions put up a good show with the bat as they put up a total of 99 runs for the loss of three wickets at the end of those ten overs. Misbah-ul-Haq starred with the bat scoring 44 off just 19 balls. The Giants started with the chase but never really arrived. Apart from their openers, none of the other batters could make a double-digit score. As a result, Giants could only make 64 runs for the loss of five wickets at the end of their innings. The Lions won the match by 35 runs. The World Giants will come hard in this game and would want to improve their net run rate.
