Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
On Sunday, 3rd of December, Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the first ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka. This will be the first bilateral ODI series between the two teams in the last 6 years. Injuries struck both teams on the eve of the series. Bangladesh will miss Tamim Iqbal due to a groin injury, India will miss the services of Mohammed Shami, who has a shoulder injury. Both these teams are blessed with incredible bench strength. Bangladesh lost their previous ODI series to Zimbabwe and blew hot and cold in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli, who will play together in an ODI series after more than five months. With Shami ruled out, this series will be a good opportunity for Kuldeep Sen and Umran Malik to make a strong case for themselves. India will treat this series as a dress rehearsal for the ODI World Cup scheduled in 2023. India will start as the favourites to win this encounter. However, Bangladesh have surprised the men in blue in the past, and with them playing at home, they will certainly will be a force to recon win.
