In a pulsating encounter in Bengaluru, India emerged victorious in a historic Double Super Over thriller against Afghanistan, securing a resounding 3-0 series sweep. Rohit Sharma played a pivotal role, scoring an outstanding knock of 121 not out. Ravi Bishnoi’s outstanding performance in the second Super Over sealed the series sweep for India. Defending 12 runs, Bishnoi successfully thwarted Afghanistan’s attempt, highlighting India’s resilience and determination.

The drama unfolded as the scores were tied at 212 in the regular play, leading to the first Super Over. Afghanistan posted a formidable 16 runs, powered by Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s explosive hitting. Despite Rohit Sharma’s valiant efforts, India fell short of the 17-run target, setting the stage for an intense showdown.
