This is the second year of this tournament in which participants, who are Vedic pandits, play while wearing traditional dhoti and kurtas. They speak to each other in Sanskrit. The match commentary is also in Sanskrit. No problem is faced during fielding in the dhoti-kurta attire. I also hit sixes and fours during Monday’s match,” Tiwari stated.

Apart from Bhopal, there is one similar cricket tournament that is being held in Kashi. The tournament lasts for four days. In the past, efforts have been made to promote the Sanskrit language in mainstream society in India currently. There is one section on DD news that gives Sanskrit news for about 15-20 minutes.
