Australia will lock horns with England in a three-match ODI series starting on Thursday, November 17. The rivalry between these two teams has been going on for a while and we will see both teams battling out once again. England will be entering this series high on confidence after lifting the T20 World Cup, whereas Australia will be looking to bounce back after their dismal performance in the mega event. With the ODI World Cup being just one year away, it gives both teams the opportunity to get their combinations sorted.
England and Australia faced each other in 152 ODIs. Australia holds the edge, with 84 victories to England’s 63, two games have resulted in ties, and three were abandoned due to bad weather. Pat Cummins will lead the Australian unit. Glenn Maxwell will miss this series due to an injury and has been replaced by Sean Abbott. Travis Head has been recalled into the squad. Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood are in the squad as well. Sam Billings, Olly Stone and James Vince have also been named in the 15-man squad which contains 11 of the members of England’s World Cup winning squad already in Australia.
