Anders Antonsen is a Danish badminton player. At the 2015 European Junior Championships, he won the boys singles gold medal, and that same year, he was named the European Young Player of the Year. He won the European Men’s Team Championships with the national team in 2016 and 2018, as well as the European Mixed Team Championships in 2017 and 2019. Antonsen won the gold medal in the 2019 Minsk European Games and earned silver at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships. During the 2013 Forza Denmark International competition, he made his debut abroad. He also advanced to the semifinals of two Superseries competitions: the 2017 French Open, where he lost to Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto by a score of 17-21, 15-21, and the 2018 Hong Kong Open, where he lost to China’s Chen Long, the gold medalist from the 2016 Summer Olympics, by a score of 14-21, 21-19, 17-21. After losing to Loh Kean Yew, the eventual World Champion, in straight games, 21-23, 14-21, in the semifinals of the 2021 World Championships, Antonsen earned a bronze medal.

By defeating the current world champion in the first round of the All England Open in rubber games, 21-15, 18-21, and 21-13, Antonsen was able to get revenge for his semifinal defeat in the 2022 World Championships at the hands of Loh Kean Yew.
