Prepare for an exciting volley of spikes and serves as Chennai is all set to host the third season of the Indian Premier Volleyball League starting on February 15th. Volleyball fans are abuzz with excitement, eagerly awaiting to cheer for their favorite teams in a season brimming with action that runs until March 21, 2024. The season’s first game promises to be a nail-biter as the reigning champions, the Ahmedabad Defenders, go up against the local favorites, the Chennai Blitz.
With every game set to be broadcasted on TV and streamed online throughout India, fans won’t miss a single moment. Keep an eye out for the Delhi Toofans, the league’s newcomers, who promise to shake things up as they compete against the existing nine-team roster for the top spot. Only five teams will advance to the playoffs, the Super 5s, from March 11 to 18. The teams ranking second and third will compete on March 19 for the remaining final slot.
All matches are set to take place at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The ultimate champion secures not only the trophy but also a chance to compete in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship, scheduled from December 9 to 15, right here in India. Mark your calendars for March 15 when the Ahmedabad Defenders face the Delhi Toofans.
The match will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium for the Super 5s’ seventh game. After a barely missed win with a 2-3 set loss to the Mumbai Meteors, the Ahmedabad Defenders are eager to reclaim their winning form. On the opposing side, the Delhi Toofans are raring to go following a triumphant 3-1 set win against the Calicut Heroes, and they intend to maintain their streak.
