The Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich 2022 is scheduled to take place on October 23, 2022, in Valencia, Spain. Kibiwott Kandie, Daniel Mateiko, Kennedy Kimutai, Rodgers Kwemoi, Daniel Mateiko, and so on are a few top contenders in the men’s category. The women’s field comprises Vicoty Chepngeno, Margaret Chelimo, and Konstanze Klosterhalfen who will be battling for the title.
Valencia Half Marathon is an annual half marathon road running event conducted in Valencia, Spain, since 1988. The race is conducted by SD Correcaminos, a Valencian sporting club that also organizes the annual Valencia Marathon. Along with athletes from the host nation Spain, the marathon draws elite runners at the top levels from Kenya, Ethiopia, and Morocco.
The world record has been broken in each of the previous two editions. In 2020, Kenya’s Kibiwott Kandie ran 57:32 to set the men’s WR (currently held by Jacob Kiplimo in Lisbon Half Marathon last year), while last year Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia delivered the greatest performance in the history of women’s distance running by clocking 1:02:52 to cut 70 seconds off the previous world record set by Ruth Chepngetich. Yalemzerf Yehualaw, the female runner-up in Valencia the previous year, finished in 1:03:51 which ranked her as the second-best time ever. Eight of the top ten men’s half marathoners ever set their personal records in Valencia.

The Valencia Half Marathon 2022 is scheduled to be held at 8:25 am Local time or 2:25 am Eastern Time.
The half marathon begins and ends on Carrer d’Antonio Ferrandis, which is approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) southwest of the City of Arts and Sciences. For the first portion of the race, the course spans the City of Arts and Sciences before looping around the Camins al Grau and Algirós neighborhoods. The half marathon then travels mostly along the Garden of the Turia as it heads northwest to Ciutat Vella before returning to the starting line.
