In the first women’s Owen Hart competition final of the evening, Soho faced Nightingale. After losing to Britt Baker in last year’s tournament final, Soho was resolved to win and employed underhanded strategies to do so. Nightingale was able to persevere and defeat her opponent with the Doctor Bomb to earn the victory and the Owen Hart Foundation trophy.

The men’s tournament final between CM Punk and Starks was the primary event. Punk entered to a chorus of jeers and applause, whereas Starks was supported by the entire audience.

Punk was a villain for the duration of the match and for each tribute to Bret. The Canadian crowd jeered The Hitman Hart vehemently. Punk’s heel tactics infuriated Starks, who did everything in his power to vanquish the former World Champion.

As the match reached its climax, the two competitors engaged in a series of near falls, during which Starks brazenly grabbed the ropes for leverage, resulting in a controversial victory.

As the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger was preparing to present the trophy to the victor, Starks abruptly seized it from his grasp before leaving.

FTR and Bullet Club Gold engaged in an epic best-of-three-falls match for the Tag Team Championships on the action-packed program.

The tag team classic introduced the show and immediately featured intense back-and-forth action as both teams battled for the upper edge.

Around 30 minutes into the match, White submitted Wheeler with Switchblade, giving BCG the first fall. After falling behind 0-1 the champions fought back with renewed vigor and took the match to the villainous tandem, but no matter what FTR did to White, they were unable to pin him, and a series of thrilling near falls ensued, sending the crowd into a hysteria. However, their offensive assault ultimately paid off when they pinned Robinson with the Shatter Machine to even the score.

At the 60-minute mark, Dax Hardwood trapped Robinson into a Sharpshooter to win the third and final fall and retain the championship in an absolute classic.
