Will Ospreay is famed for his high-flying athleticism and outstanding exploits in the squared circle. He recently replied to statements made by WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, about the wrestling “grind.” Ospreay’s comments came on the April 10th episode of Dynamite, when he addressed Triple H’s statements about wrestlers needing easier schedules.

Triple H’s comments on The Pat McAfee Show before to WrestleMania sparked controversy since he appeared to attack performers in other firms that work smaller schedules. Referring to people who are not “in it for the grind,” Triple H stated that they may not prosper in WWE.

In response, Ospreay defended his work ethic and dedication to the profession. He cited his hectic schedule of flying between the United States and the United Kingdom while regularly producing high-quality matches.

Ospreay stated, “There’s this rumor that I’m afraid of the grind. I’ll be honest, I have no idea where this conversation has come from. I’m one of the only guys that is traveling every week from the UK to America, eight to ten hour flights, every single week, and I’m delivering some of the best professional wrestling matches this world has ever seen.”

He didn’t stop there. He took a direct attack at Triple H’s promotion to an executive role inside WWE. Will indicted that it was motivated by personal motives rather than merit. Ospreay’s barb at Triple H’s previous connection with Stephanie McMahon ignited additional debate in the wrestling industry.

In addition to addressing Triple H’s comments, Ospreay also discussed his decision to sign with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) full-time. He initially announced his intention to join AEW at Full Gear but needed to conclude his commitments with New Japan Pro-Wrestling before fully committing to the new venture.

Ospreay’s move to AEW has been met with anticipation from fans, especially after his standout performance at Revolution.

H/t to Fightful.
