Following the success of NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE NXT 2.0 on April 5 was more of the same, selling the tales that have defined the brand in recent months.

Due to their shared distaste of Toxic Attraction, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai reconciled. They dealt the alliance their first blow by reclaiming the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. In a rematch, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne attempted to reclaim the crowns.

Cameron Grimes was scheduled to talk about his historic victory. He won the NXT North American Championship, fulfilling a pledge to his late father, and would now attempt to show himself as a worthy champion.

Bron Breakker reclaimed the NXT Championship from Dolph Ziggler, returning the championship to NXT.

The Creed Brothers stormed the ring, attacking Marcel Bartel and Fabian Aichner and setting up a surprise bout. Aichner walked out on Bartel during the bout, leaving him to lose to a torture rack slam and a low running clothesline.

NXT Women’s Tag Titles: Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai (c) vs. Toxic Attraction

The match was started by Jacy Jayne and Raquel Gonzalez, then Gigi Dolin slipped in a tag when Jayne was trapped in a hold but failed to gain the edge. Dakota Kai was tagged in and sent Dolin to the corner, where she was rolled up.

Gonzalez was tagged in and pulled Dolin up onto her shoulders, but Dolin responded with a cutter. Gigi Dolin was distracted by Wendy Choo, but Mandy Rose appeared at ringside and took her out.

Raquel Gonzalez attempted the Chingona Bomb, but Rose drew the ref’s attention away from her, allowing Jacy Jayne to land a chop block on Gonzalez’s damaged knee. Gonzalez was defeated by Toxic Attraction, who used the Toxic Shock on her.

New NXT woman’s tag team champion are Toxic Attraction.

Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend

Tony D’Angelo’s inauguration as The New Don of NXT was presented by AJ Galante. Galante presented D’Angelo with a unique ring and had a glass of wine with The Don. Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma congratulated The Don in the parking lot, but advised him to keep out of Legado’s affairs.

Kushida called out Von Wagner for what he did to Ikemen Jiro in a pre-recorded commercial, vowing to make him pay next week.

Early on, Lash Legend and Nikkita Lyons challenged each other with side-by-side kip-ups, seeming evenly matched. When it came down to it, Lyons was simply superior. For the win, she used the split-leg drop to catch Legend.

Winner: Nikkita Lyons

NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Gunther

Bron Breakker took control of the contest early on, and he pinned Gunther. Gunther was kicked in the face, but was decapitated by a spear. Breakker attempted to hoist The Ring General for the finisher but was unable to do so.

Breakker appeared to have injured his shoulder and tumbled out of the ring before Gunther sent him to the ring steps. Gunther was in charge during the commercials, and when we returned, Breakker had a German Suplex and some massive chops.

Before Gunther got Breakker in a hold, he landed a German Suplex of his own. Before attempting another top rope maneuver, he was caught in the spear in mid-air, resulting in a couple of near falls. Bron Breakker ultimately hoisted Gunther and slammed him for the victory with the Gorilla Press Powerslam.

Following the bout, we saw Breakker’s father, Rick Steiner, praising his son on the win. We witnessed Steiner being taken hostage by Joe Gacy and Harland as the camera zoomed out. They clearly had a strategy, yet the show was cancelled, leaving viewers with a dilemma.
