This week on RAW, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made an amazing comeback to help Lita and Becky Lynch. For the Women’s Tag Team Title this week, Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY faced off against Becky and Lita. The two former women’s champions were doing admirably in the ring, but Bayley seemed to tip the balance in their favor. When Trish’s music started, she dashed outside to confront The Role Model in order to calm things down. She made sure Becky and Lita won the contest and were declared the new women’s tag champs by being at the ringside.

Becky Lynch and Lita win tag titles

By slipping a title belt into the ring, Bayley created a commotion at the referee’s table. In order to stop a hot tag, Bayley rushed around the ring and grabbed Lita off the ring platform as the referee took it away. Lynch was able to escape the subsequent pin before Trish Stratus’ music began to play and she dashed to the ring to eliminate Bayley. Finally, Lynch made the tag to Lita, who engaged in some offence before dodging an IYO SKY moonsault. To win and win the belts, Stratus once more eliminated Bayley, Lynch caught Dakota Kai in an armbar on the ring apron, and Lita hit SKY with a moonsault.

‘Bayley is a little sneaky’

Trish admitted to Cathy Kelly during a special backstage interview that she felt Bayley would try to sabotage the bout. She said she was watching for an opening and would make an appearance when the time was perfect. “Listen, I knew these guys could handle it for the most part, but you know, Bayley is a little sneaky. So, I had my eye out.”

Summerslam 2019

Trish Stratus’ last WWE Televised match was almost four years ago. The 2019 SummerSlam featured Charlotte Flair in the Hall of Famers final match. Trish retired as the women’s champion and called it a day in 2006. She held seven titles at the time, making her the champion with the most accomplishments. She did, however, make a triumphant return to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto for a last bout versus The Queen. Even though she lost to Flair, who is a Hall of Famer, the seven-time women’s champion received a standing ovation from the Toronto audience.

Lita is out of her depth

Without intending to offend Lita, a significant character in the history of American women’s wrestling, she is woefully unprepared to compete in a ring with these women. Every action she takes is clumsy, and ring rust is evident everywhere. Yet, it can be safely predicted that WWE will find a method to pull off the unavoidable six-woman tag match between Damage Control and Lita, Lynch, and Stratus. That was also a pleasant experience for Lita, and anything that brings attention to women’s tag belts is beneficial.
