The latest episode of AEW Dynamite that aired on February 10 (Thursday) saw the debut of one Keith Lee in the company.

AEW president Tony Khan had spent the entire week hyping a brand new free agent signing. And the debut was set to take place in a qualifier for the Face of the Revolution ladder match.

Isaiah Kassidy was the man he faced and the match showcased everything that is great about Keith Lee. The man is built like a heavyweight and moves like a cruiserweight.

And he began the match by ragdolling Kassidy right after taking a moment to bask in the glory – pun intended – of the AEW fanbase.

The match was a pretty one-sided affair for the most part. In fact, it was such a beating for Kassidy that Matt Hardy walked out on the match featuring the AHFO member.

But after the match, the other Private Party member Marq Quen tried to attack Lee. Quen and Kassidy thus combined for a dropkick that sent Lee out of the ring.

However, consecutive suicide dives failed to do any damage – simply because Lee caught them both and laid them down.

Keith Lee meets the hype of a ‘big signing’

Before this week’s Dynamite, Khan had created expectations around a ‘huge signing’ for the company. He also said he is constantly looking for new people to sign.

“It’s a huge signing for us. I have created some debate about what it means to open the ‘Forbidden Door,’ and that’s what we are going to do on this show,” Khan told SI.

“The fans are going to get a great night of wrestling, and I hope everyone is surprised. And comes back for the matches this sets up.

“I’m continually looking to improve the roster and bring in new stars and create fresh matchups, and that’s what you’re going to see this Wednesday.

“We now have such a strong roster of wrestlers under contract that we can put fresh, exciting matches on Dynamite every Wednesday on TBS and Rampage on TNT.

“It’s going to be a big reveal on Dynamite. It sets up this week’s Rampage and puts a lot of irons in our fire.

“We have created an environment in AEW where people routinely expect great wrestling matches, and we have the wrestlers to live up to those high expectations.”

Lee is a unique talent who will doutbless do well at AEW. One might even say his potential is limitless.
