Brayelin Elizabeth Martínez was born on September 11, 1996, in Santo Domingo. She is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic who represented her country in the 2015 Pan American Games and took home the bronze medal. She participated in the FIVB World Cups in 2011 and 2015 as well as the Senior World Championship in 2014. She won gold at the 2015 U20 World Championship, silver at the 2013 FIVB U23 World Championship, and bronze at the 2015 U23 World Championship with their national underage teams.  With the senior team, she won silver in 2013 and 2015 and gold in the NORCECA Continental Championship, 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, 2016 U23 Pan-American Cup, and the 2017 Bolivarian Games, where she served as the flag bearer. She also won silver with the senior team in 2013 and 2015.

The U20 World Championship, U18 World Championship, World Grand Prix, U23 World Championship, and the World Grand Champions Cup were the five international competitions in which she took part in 2013. She is an outside hitter for the Dominican team Mirador, and she competed for this team in the Club World Championships in 2011 and 2015. As 2013’s best volleyball player, she was honored with the Dominican Republic Guild of Sports Writers award. With the Dominican Club Playeras de Boca Chica, she won the 2014 Santo Domingo Province Superior Tournament.

She competed in World Grand Prix Group II, helping her senior national team win the group gold medal, and she later led her senior national team to victory at the Pan-American Cup on home soil. She received awards for Best Outside Spiker and Most Valuable Player for the competition. The Dominican Republic won the 2016 U23 Pan-American Cup, which was played in Peru, to win its third gold medal. Martnez was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Best Wing Spiker.

After spending a season with Südtirol Neruda Bolzano and finishing the campaign as one of the top scorers with 360 points, Martnez kept herself in the Italian League when she signed with Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio. When her team, Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio, fell to Russian club Dynamo Kazan in the championship game, Martnez won the silver medal with Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio. She relocated to the Pom Casalmaggiore club in Italy for the 2017–18 campaign. She carried the national flag for them during the 2017 Bolivarian Games, where they defeated Colombia and Peru to win the gold medal.
