The CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023, overseen by the European Volleyball Confederation, is set to take center stage from August 15 to September 3, 2023. This year’s showdown will witness participation from 24 countries, with matches spread across Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. The last championship (2021) saw Italy clinching victory by overcoming Serbia with a 3-1 scoreline. On the other hand, Turkey secured its position by grabbing the third spot.

On August 19, 2023, Romania will take on Switzerland in a Pool B preliminary match at the CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. Romania has had mixed results in their first two games, having been defeated by France and then winning against Croatia. On the other hand, Switzerland lost their first game which they played against Bosnia and Herzegovina in a closely contested match by 2-3.
