The governing body for European volleyball, the European Volleyball Confederation, is all set to unveil the 33rd Women’s European Volleyball Championship. The event is scheduled from the 15th of August to the 3rd of September in 2023. With two dozen nations keen to display their dominance on the court, the role of hosting this grand spectacle is assigned to Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. In the previous championship in 2021, Italy made headlines by capturing the esteemed title in a convincing 3-1 triumph over Serbia.

Both Poland and Serbia have played one match in the tournament so far and registered victories against Slovenia and Ukraine, respectively. Poland has claimed two gold medals in the competition’s history. While Serbia has been the better team in terms of number of titles as they have collected 3 titles till date.
