World No.11 Netherlands will face South Korea in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League on Sunday.
World No.11 Netherlands will take on South Korea in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League Round 1 contest on Sunday. It will be a battle between two teams who are sitting at the bottom of the table and still to register a win in the marquee league. The Netherlands are currently placed at the 15th spot with seven losses from as many outings while South Korea are sitting with a wooden spoon as they have lost all six of their matches.
The Netherlands have had a tournament to forget as they started their campaign with a 1-3 loss to China. They later lost to Bulgaria 2-3, Italy (0-3) and Serbia (2-3). Their poor run continued with a 1-3 loss to Germany before being outclassed by Brazil (0-3) and losing by a slender margin to Dominican Republic (2-3).
South Korea, meanwhile, have registered a dismal performance in the league as well. Their run started with a 0-3 loss to Japan before losing to Germany (0-3), Poland (0-3), Canada (0-3), Dominican Republic (0-3), Serbia (0-3). The South Korean will look to salvage some pride in their remaining two group stage matches as they have not won a single set from their six outings so far.
