For the first time ever, Serbia and Hungary will co-host the women’s CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship in 2023. The limit has changed from Under-16 to Under-17 as a result of the European Volleyball Confederation’s choice to synchronize the age restriction with the men’s competition. The number of participating teams has increased from the usual 12 to 16 teams per gender. The championship will be held in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, and Bekescsaba, Hungary, from July 11 to July 22.
Both male and female teams have successfully completed the second round of qualifying for the U17 European Championship in 2023. The women from Turkey, Serbia, and Greece, as well as the men from Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania, will compete in the final round of the 2023 U17 European Championship. The Final Round will be held in Serbia and Hungary as co-host nations from July 11 to July 22, and women who competed in Serbia (the competition’s host) or Turkey in the past are eligible to compete.
A fantastic international competition will be held by the CEV, the body in charge of governing the sport, featuring the best teams from all over the world. On July 19, 2023, the CEV Women’s U17 European Volleyball Championship will feature a match between Netherlands and Croatia. Two outstanding teams are participating in this competition. In the 2022 CEV Women’s U17 European Volleyball Championship, the Netherlands finished in seventh place while Croatia finished in ninth. Both teams are vying for first place on the table.
The first round will feature 16 competitors from each gender. There had been twelve teams in the competition’s semifinal rounds before. The first four teams will be chosen based on the results of four zonal association qualifiers, one for each gender, to guarantee their participation in addition to that of the organizing countries. Poland has already snagged the spots in the men’s and women’s editions that Eevza was anticipated to contend for at the qualifying competitions held in Georgia and Latvia in December. The qualifying matches for the other three zonal associations are scheduled for January. The Wevza competition’s U17 women’s finals will take place in Grunheide from January 4 to January 8. The group also consists of the hosts, as well as Germany, Belgium, England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
