The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League 2023 is set to kick off in Gdansk, Poland, from July 19 to 23, following the exciting finale of the Women’s Nations League where Turkey emerged as the ultimate champion. The Ergo Arena in Gdansk is slated to host the third and fourth quarter-final matches on July 20, 2023. Japan will lock horns with Slovenia in the third quarter-final match. The fourth and the quarter-final match is expected to be a thrilling encounter as well since Poland will play Brazil.
In the preliminary phase of the men’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2023, Japan secured the second place, having ten victories to their account with a point tally of only 27. Japan remained unbeaten in their initial ten matches of the tournament and succumbed to Italy and Poland once they had already ensured their place in the Finals. On the other hand, Slovenia, the rising team, equaled Brazil’s record with eight wins and 25 points, but fell to the seventh rank due to their lower set ratio.
