The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023, jointly hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel, is currently in its concluding phase. The event, which featured 24 teams from the European continent, kicked off on August 28 and is set to end on September 16, 2023. Although the third-place match is yet to be over, Poland, France, and Slovenia have booked their place in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 being the semi-finalists as Italy had previously earned their place being the reigning world champion. After the thrilling semi-final matches, France and Slovenia will battle for the bronze medal.
On September 16, the defending champion Italy will lock horns with Poland in the coveted CEV Men’s EuroVolley 2023 grand final. Italy advanced to their second successive final after comprehensively getting past France by 3-0. While Poland defeated Slovenia by 3-1 to storm into their seventh final in this competition. In the last edition (2019), Italy claimed victory over Slovenia by 3-2 to grab the prestigious title and will aim for their eighth title. On the other hand, Poland has previously claimed the title once and will be eyeing for their second title.
