The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 is scheduled to take place from May 30 to July 16, 2023. This highly anticipated event will feature 16 teams representing four confederations, all vying for the championship title. The participating core teams include Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States. Additionally, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Dominican Republic, and Poland will join as challenger teams.
The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2023 is divided into four phases, beginning with three weeks of intense competitions. Following the preliminary rounds, the top eight teams in the standings will advance to the final round. The final stage of the competition will involve eight teams in a thrilling knockout round. This decisive phase will include a total of eight matches, consisting of four quarterfinals, two semifinals, and the matches for the bronze and gold medals. Among the participating teams, the top seven teams based on their performance, along with the host nation of the finals, will compete in these matches.

In their last encounter at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League in 2022, Germany were the better team as they defeated the Netherlands by 20–25, 19–25, 25–12, 22–25 in a Pool 3 match.
