Any significant volleyball tournament taking place in Europe will typically have live updates and coverage on EuroVolley.tv.
The European Men’s U-17 Volleyball Championship is a sporting event that the European Volleyball Confederation, the European volleyball federation, organizes every two years for national volleyball teams with players under the age of 17. The 2023 edition of EuroVolley U17M, which will be held in Podgorica from July 19 to 30, is anticipated by Montenegro’s volleyball community. Ivan Bokovi, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG), spoke to the media during a press conference that was held at the Voco hotel about a week before the start of the competition.
The European Volleyball Confederation has tasked our federation with organizing the continental championship for young male players under the age of 17 in light of the outstanding execution of the U17 Women’s competition held here in 2020. For them, this entails a great honor and responsibility. The CEV has once again commended the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro for our prior efforts.
The CEV, the organization in charge of regulating the sport, will play host to a fantastic international competition featuring the top teams from around the globe. France and Italy will play one another on July 20, 2023, as part of the CEV Men’s U17 European Volleyball Championship. This competition features two outstanding teams. Italy came in fourth, while France, the 2021 CEV Men’s U17 European Volleyball Champion, placed thirteenth. For the top spot on the table, both teams are competing.
The top 16 teams from Europe, made up of athletes born in 2007 and under, will compete in Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro, and the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. “A total of 16 nations will take part in the competition, and in addition to the host nation Montenegro, spectators and volleyball fans in Podgorica and Montenegro will have the chance to watch the teams from Italy, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Serbia, and other volleyball powerhouses. The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro has given our younger athletes the chance to participate in a significant competition and to understand what it is like to represent our nation on the European stage by hosting this European Championship. The first event under the new format, which features 16 national teams split into two groups, is the U17 European Championship in Podgorica, and organizing it is a major undertaking.
