The CEV U17 Men’s Volleyball European Championship 2023 is underway, having kicked off on July 19. This annual event, intended for participants under the age of 17, is scheduled to run through July 30, 2023. This year, Podgorica in Montenegro is hosting the 16-team competition. The U17 championship has a relatively brief history, having been inaugurated in 2017. In that first edition of the championship, it was Italy who managed to clinch the title. The most recent championship, which took place in Tirana, Albania, Slovenia clinched the victory. They impressively prevailed over Russia in the final, finishing with a 3-0 score line.
On 24 July 2023, Bulgaria will take on Turkey at the CEV U17 Men’s Volleyball European Championship 2023. Bulgaria has been in exceptional form this season, having won five of their last five matches. Turkey, on the other hand, too was having a sensational run until they met Belgium in their last game and were defeated in straight sets by 3-0. Considering Bulgaria’s run in the event, they will definitely have an edge over Turkey as they meet one another on Monday.
