On August 19, 2023, Azerbaijan will play Germany in a Pool C preliminary match at the CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023.
The European Volleyball Confederation is hosting the 33rd edition of the Women’s European Volleyball Championship, which is slated to commence from August 15 through September 3, 2023. With 24 nations ready to demonstrate their prowess on the court, the event promises thrilling matches that will be held in Belgium, Estonia, Germany, and Italy. In the last edition of the championship (2021), Italy stole the spotlight by prevailing over Serbia with a decisive 3-1 margin. While Turkey showcased its mettle by securing a commendable third place.
On August 19, 2023, Azerbaijan will play Germany in a Pool C preliminary match at the CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. Germany (does not include East Germany) has never had the honor of winning the main title but finished as the runner-up and third-place on two occasions each. Azerbaijan had placed fourth twice – first in 2005 and then in 2017.
