Prepare to be captivated by the high-energy volleyball matches taking place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The excitement begins on February 15th as the third season of the Indian Premier Volleyball League serves up its first game. Everyone is eager to back their favorite teams until March 21st, 2024. Opening the season is a highlight event—the reigning champions, Ahmedabad Defenders, go head-to-head with Chennai’s very own, the Chennai Blitz.
Fans won’t miss any action as the games will be broadcast on television and available for online streaming within India. Keep an eye out for the latest addition to the league, the Delhi Toofans, as they and eight other teams compete for the ultimate prize. The top five teams will advance to the Super 5s playoffs, running from March 11th to 18th. The playoff champion secures a direct spot in the grand finale on March 21st.
Yet, for the second and third-place teams, hope remains; they will vie for the final spot in a decisive match on March 19th. All the matches take place at Chennai’s SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, with the champion earning the opportunity to represent at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in India, December 9th to 15th. The Ahmedabad Defenders aim to recover from their straight-set defeat by the Delhi Toofans, losing with scores of 11-15, 14-16, and 12-15. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Torpedoes are determined to overturn their fortunes after a similar 3-0 loss to the Delhi Toofans, with close scores of 13-15, 16-18, and 15-17.
